Victoria Powers, Attorney

Victoria Powers has been practicing law since 1989 and currently focuses her practice on the areas of elder law, estate planning, probate, guardianship/conservatorships and long-term care/MaineCare planning. She is a frequent lecturer on the issues of elder law. She was the 2007 recipient of the distinguished Caroline Duby Glassman Award. She has served as co-chair of the Women's Law Section and for many years as the editor of the Section's Connections newsletter. As a Past President of the Maine Bar Foundation, and a member of the Justice Action Group, Victoria has also been a strong advocate for access to justice issues. Victoria received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1983 and is a 1989 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. She lives in Freeport with her family and is very active in her community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Freeport Elder's Association and the Board of Freeport Community Services.
